Our proprietary assessment β€” taken at the end of each grade level. The ALT measures proficiency through the APLS curriculum and determines advancement, transcript eligibility, and recommendation status.

How the ALT works β€” step by step:

Complete the APLS ModuleThe student works through all assigned grade-level APLS content and completes all assigned tasks throughout the grade.

Take the ALT at Grade EndThe Applied Learning Test is administered at the end of each grade level. It evaluates real comprehension β€” not just completion.

AI Scores for Accuracy & FairnessResults are processed with AI grading to ensure scoring is consistent, unbiased, and reflects actual knowledge without racial, sexual, or religious bias.

Pass NGS (β‰₯75) β€” AdvanceStudents scoring 75 or above pass the Next Gen Standard and are placed into their next higher math level automatically.

Receive Transcript + LetterA proficiency transcript is generated. On eligible plans β€” or with a 4.0 GPA on Standard β€” a letter of recommendation is also issued by Focus Area.
Maintain a 4.0 β€” Unlock the Letter on Any Plan Students on the Standard ($14.99/mo) plan who maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout their grade level earn the same reward as higher tiers β€” a printed transcript and a letter of recommendation from Focus Area. Excellence has its own lane here.
